EDT+ WINTER DEFENSE is our EVERYDAY DIESEL TREATMENT with added anti-gel properties. It is a fully formulated 7-in-1 diesel treatment to prevent diesel fuel from gelling and icing. It contains a powerful cetane booster, LX4 lubricity additive, keep-clean detergent package and deicer chemicals.
EDT+ WINTER DEFENSE prevents paraffin wax precipitation during cold weather by minimizing the size of the wax crystals and allowing the fuel to travel through the fuel filter at temperatures 20 degrees Fahrenheit below the cloud point (wax solidification point) of the diesel fuel.
Cetane is important in diesel to improve cold starting. In addition, cetane increases the time it takes to burn the fuel, resulting in more complete burn and power. This means you gain fuel efficiency and reduce soot entering the emissions system, resulting in fewer regens.
DIRECTIONS - Add to diesel fuel before wax starts to form (near freezing temperatures). Use at every fill-up. Use the performance dose for added cetane boost, fuel lubricity, and a lower pour point. Performance dose is needed when temperatures are below 0 Degrees Fahrenheit. Premium dose is 2 Oz. per 25 gallons. Performance dose is 4 Oz. per 25 gallons.
